12:34 Sunday the 13th

Jim is sleeping in the ICU still. Last night had a little jump in the heart rate so they wanted to keep him in ICU just a little longer to keep a close eye on him. This keeps me at ease because it's such a great group of people working. Plus, he loves his nurse Lamisa! Other than that, just resting today. Right now, heart rate etc looks stable. We are praying that tomorrow brings good news when the "team" re-evaluates the surgery to remove the tumor. It's wonderful to see all the people praying for him.

  2. "Sleeping...resting...stable" Boy, those are all good words to hear! I'm keeping busy today with a no news is good news frame of mind. Thanks for the updates - they're a lifeline - and hugs to all of you. Take advantage of ICU -you can't ask for more or better attention and care than exactly where he is resting....Hmmm "loves his nurse" makes me think Jimbo is feeling better! Give him a hug for me!

  3. Guys, Ann and I have been reading and praying for Jim and you all. Keep the faith and good things will happen. If you need anything handled around here let us know. We will be heading to Ohio this week so call if we can do anything for you before we leave. Remember all your friends and family are thinking about you and you are in our prayers. Tell Jim he is still going to Key West!

Received a pic of Jim in bed in the ICU wearing his fashionable hospital gown. He looks good. Lets pray that the early part of this week allows the beast to be removed. Lots of love, Don & Lori

  9. Jim,
Just found out from Melinda Young that you were in the hospital. I wanted you to know that you are in my prayers. Debbie and I will continue to lift you, your family, and the medical team in our daily prayers as you work your way back to recovery. Next spring we'll have to play a little golf and this time my play won't be such a shock to your system - I've improved a little but I still have 'great shoes'! :) Sending you love, brother.

  10. Jim,
My golf has improved a little but my ability to conclude a message with a proper closing still needs a little work. This comment and the one posted immediately above is from Mark Waldron. (Senior moment)

Lots of strong Rotary thoughts and prayers are flying your way. Blessings to Debbie and family as well. Gee, we have not seen the pic of Jim in his hospital finery.
    Get well, we miss you!
