Exhausted! 11:30pm Friday

Good evening everyone. Ill give you a quick run down on Dad today... The docs said that he had a very high heart rate this morning and they needed to work on getting it down. They decided to "shock it down" which was very successful. That was quite a scare for us today... after that was taken care of by the very dedicated team of doctors, they decided to move forward with putting in the larger stents to help drain the bile which is causing the infection. That was also successful. Per doctors order... we are back in the hotel resting and looking forward to the results of the procedure and whether they can remove the tumor. Dad is resting in the ICU tonight in good hands. Thank you everyone for all your thoughts and prayers... please understand if we have not returned some of your phone calls. Our cell phones are our main connection to the doctors and we need them as open as possible. Keep the prayer train going... Deb, Brad, and Matt

  2. Deb, I'm so sorry to hear about Jim. I'm a police officer at Stow and have talked with Jim for years. I'm glad you started this blog or I would have not known about his condition. I've never met you but feel I know you from my converstions with Jim. He is always talking about you and the boys. I had the boys in the DARE program and he always fills me in on their progress. They should know how he talks about them and how proud he is of them. Keep on blogging and of course, you, Jim and the boys will be in my prayers.

Marilyn & I have Jim (and the rest of the family) in our prayers. Still in shock over the original news. It certainly will help Jim's recovery to know how many people care about him. Thanks for the updates.

  5. Deb -- Today's prayer on Prime Time With God is so appropriate that I want to share it with you. Blessings, Rudi Floyd

Dear God, Today I was reminded of how many people are suffering through cancer. I have lost loved ones to this ravaging disease...and I am thankful they are with you because they were Christians, believers whose trust was in the Risen Savior. ("To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.") I have friends and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who are now facing that battle. Some will receive healing and more years on this earth. Others will receive permanent healing and be with you in heaven. I pray for each and every one, that you will give them abundant grace and mercy and blessings through it all. It is when we are weak, that we most recognize that you are strong. I pray for relief from pain, for strength to endure, for joy and happiness in the journey. I pray for the sick ones and for their loved ones. This is an extremely emotional time...and a spiritual time. Carry them, Lord. May their lives and their testimonies shine for you everywhere they go. Thank you for the healing you bring. Thank you for being there. Thank you for loving. Thank you for meeting needs. May you receive glory and honor through it all. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

  7. Debbie, Matt and Brad, Know that our our prayers and thoughts are with you. We caught up with Don today and he filled in some of the questions. We continue to pray for success and that God will guide that Dr's in finding a complete recovery. Jim in a strong, healthy man I know this will help him in this battle. Hang on to every little bit of good news and allow it to comfort you on this journey. Wish there was something more that we could do-hope it's okay I added Jim to our prayer list at church. I figure that more prayers the better-sending love and hugs!!!

We just know that Jim is going get through this... Deb, you know how much we love you guys and if there is anything we can do always know we are here for you...Not sure if you know but Keith is working full time now for Hudson Community Chapel as their facilities director. I am quite sure Jim is already on the prayer list at the Chapel but Keith will definitely be spreading the word again for continued prayers... Deb this is one of my favorite verses "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in You." God Bless your family through this difficult time...Love to Jim, you, and your wonderful sons...Keith and Linda
