Saturday, 4:20 pm

Dad is still in the ICU. Today's goal: to kick the infection. They're giving him some antibiotics and the new stents are draining the bile very well. He was up standing around, and talking to mom while he sat in his recliner for part of this afternoon. This is pretty good for someone in this unit. More updates later.

  1. To Jim Fred Ruttenberg,
The sooner that surgeon gets in there and takes that thing out, the sooner you're going to get your health back, and the sooner you get your health back, the sooner we can despense with your new nickname: "Jim Fred the Cleveland Browns of Tumors"......Bill Reevie Davis

Spoke with Brad about 6pm this evening. Brad & Matt are great informers of the facts! The new stents seem to now be helping as Jim's jaundice # is dropping as desired. He sitting up more and seems a bit more confortable. Having been thru so much recently, tomorrow is a "rest day" with as much food as he wants. May move him out of ICU and back to his room 12/13 or 14. You're doin great BRO... Hold the phone..news flash just in! Jim just now called me (7:15pm) to say hello and he's feelin somewhat stronger (his words). Had some dinner (all soft stuff). He couldn't talk long as he is still weak. He did say to tell everyone thanks for the prayers and support! We're kickin this...
