Hi all, I hope this note finds you well. "Things" are going great-not much pain or pain meds, sleeping great, gaining weight- oh, that's right nothing is wrong with me. PMA (positive mental attitude, right). I'm still doing radiation Mon thru Fri and on the chemo pills twice a day. Just about 1/2 way through so should finish just before Matt's wedding 3/14/10. We are still amazed by the amount of support you have provided us. The cards, e-mails, calls, and most of all, the prayers are SO helpful. I would love to respond to you and your comments if you would provide me your e-mail address. Spring is around the corner, so hang in there everybody. We miss you all- thanks again for all the support. The Rutts

  2. Hang in there, Jimbo -- you're doing great! I know this is forcing you to behave yourself for a little while, so I also know that's driving you a little crazy! You're always in my thoughts and prayers, my friend.

  3. Glad to hear you're not in pain and gaining weight, both good signs. You're right, attitude is very important. Good thing you're a tough sucker. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers for a full recovery.

  4. Hi Jim! Sounds like things are going well for you and the gang, which makes me very happy! Captain Myers had his retirement party this past Saturday, and I know you would've enjoyed some of the "airplane" humor that was included. It's out on the City server somewhere so when you come back for a visit, make sure you get to see it. We're still waiting for it to get spring/summer here. More snow predicted for tonight - enough is enough! Hard to play golf in the snow...

Hang in there; we love seeing the updates. If there's anything we can do, make sure you let us know.

    Love,
    Debbie, SFD

  5. Hey Pal -- I am so pleased that the treatment has been going well. I think of you every morning when GOD wakes me out of a sound sleep to pray for my ailing friends. If you think of it please pray for Michelle in Canada with Lymphoma, Bruce in NJ with lung cancer and Dave in NJ with leukemia. All are in the midst of chemo.

I played in a match play tournement today and actually won my match -- in 19 holes. I was up 2 with 3 to play and almost flushed it down the toilet. My next opponet is a 5 handicap (I'm sporting a porky 27 at the moment). Good thing it's full handicap!

    Keep smiling. -- Rudi

  6. Hey Rutt

We just recently heard about your "journey". Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Psalm 91 is also one of our favorites. We can see why it gives you comfort and strength. We will continue to follow your "blog" - wow what a change from the "Sparkle" days! God bless you and your family.

  7. I can't believe I am posting a comment on my own husbands blog, but it is a way for me to see how he is doing from his perspective, as he writes these on his own time. Jim, you ARE doing great and just wanted to let you know how proud I am of your positive outlook. You continue to go to your radiationb treatments everyday and always come home smiling that you "crushed that tumor again".Can't wait to see you looking so handsome on our son's wedding. ps. Don't outshine the groom." Love you. Deb
