Hi Everyone from Cape Coral, Florida. Well, I just took my first chemo pill and instantly, my hair fell out- oh, thats right, I didn't have any, never mind. So far so good with the radiation and chemo. No side effects, yet, we'll see. We go to Tampa this Wed to have the tubes "internalized" so that will help with mobility and comfort. More later, Rutt

  1. Jim: So many Chamber members have asked about you and I have shared this site so perhaps they have contacted you as well. We are all thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers...

I'm interested that you received your chemo in a pill form...lucky you! (well...not really, of course) but I had to sit through it physically many, many times...so am interested re the pills. How often do you take them and for how long? Take care and I will write again later.

  2. Hi Jim. Now you have an excuse for your hair falling out (instead of just getting old!) Glad to hear you're doing OK. Keep it up.

  3. Let's face it, it's not like losing the rest of your hair is going to decrease your looks any! You're fortunate to have a wife who loves with her heart and not her eyes. Anyway, keep your spirits up and God bless you and yours. I'll be watching the blog.

  5. Don & Lori here Feb. 4 @ 7:30pm. Just spoke with Jim and he & Deb are back home after having his tubes internalized yesterday up in Tampa. Jim said that the docs said they "beat him up pretty good" during the surgery but that everything went very well including the insertion of larger stents. Jim says a couple of more days on the pain stuff and he's ready to ..... sorry, can't repeat what he said. To all the family plus friends & associates, know that he loves your comments & prayers...keep them coming! Don & Lori R.
